Growing Up in Hawaii Carissa Moore was born on a summer day in 1992. Growing up in Hawaii, she had easy access to world-class waves. Her father, her early coach, introduced her to surfing at a very young age. Together they spent endless sessions riding waves. These early experiences helped build her confidence. By the time she was still in schoo
